By accessing this site or submitting an IP assessment, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

IPEnvoy is an international IP referral platform and introducer. We provide general information about intellectual property and, based on the details you give us, introduce or refer you to a vetted partner IP firm in the relevant jurisdiction.

IPEnvoy is not a law firm and is not a firm of solicitors, patent attorneys or trade mark attorneys. We are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), IPReg or any equivalent regulator, and the associated group is not so regulated. We do not provide legal advice, IP advice or any regulated service. Nothing on this site is legal advice or creates a lawyer–client relationship.

Any regulated advice or filing work is carried out by the independent partner firm you choose to engage. That firm contracts with you directly, on its own terms, and is responsible for its own advice and its own regulatory obligations. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the services a partner firm provides.

The output of the “Assess your IP” tool is automated, general information to help you understand your position and to help us route your enquiry. It is not tailored legal advice, not a guarantee of any outcome, and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in the relevant jurisdiction. IP law and deadlines vary by country and change over time.

You agree that you will:

• provide accurate information and only submit data you are entitled to share;
• not submit unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harmful content;
• not attempt to disrupt, probe, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
• not use the service to send spam or to scrape or harvest data; and
• comply with all applicable laws when using the service.

You are responsible for any confidential information you choose to include in your brief. Do not send material subject to a confidentiality obligation you cannot meet.

The site, its content, branding and design are owned by or licensed to Voll Studios Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and use the site for your own legitimate purposes but may not copy, republish or exploit our content without permission, except as allowed by law. You retain ownership of the content you submit; you grant us a limited licence to use it to operate the service and make referrals.

The site may link to third-party websites and introduces you to third-party partner firms. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, services, terms or privacy practices. Any engagement with a partner firm is a matter between you and that firm.

The site and its information are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any information is complete, current or accurate for your specific situation.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on general information on the site, from the acts or omissions of any partner firm, or for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data. Our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you have paid us for it, which for the free assessment and referral service is nil. We may change, suspend or withdraw the service, and may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
